On May 23, 2023, the 2291 Festival will take place for the first time in the Kursaal Bern. At this newly created festival, 2291 offers thematic spaces for colorful thoughts, opens surprising new perspectives, expands comfort zones and creates a momentum for projects. At this festival, what can change Switzerland tomorrow is created.
While in the afternoon of May 23, 2023, participants can interactively address various issues at workshops and learning sessions, the focus in the evening will be on networking and exciting dialogues as well as open mic.
This year, Switzerland celebrates the 175th anniversary of the Federal Constitution. The basis for today's Federal Constitution is the Constitution of 1848, when Switzerland was united from a confederation of states to a federal state. The last total revision of the Swiss Constitution dates back to 1999. To mark this anniversary, Initiative Switzerland is creating a dialogue space at the Future Festival on the topic "What is your Federal Constitution?". We will explore the question of whether something is missing with the current 197 articles of the Federal Constitution, whether individual articles should be adapted or revised, and how the Federal Constitution could be supplemented.
Tickets for the festival can be purchased at the link below. The Initiative Schweiz team is looking forward to many visitors and interesting discussions.
