EntrepreneurSkills 2025
IG EntrepreneurSkills The interdisciplinary championship, which is aimed at young talents from various professions, was held for the second time at SwissSkills. It requires entrepreneurial thinking and action, such as solving problems creatively, understanding the market, and presenting ideas convincingly.
Nine teams from all over Switzerland took on the challenge of developing a new business idea over four days. The requirement was that the idea should help to facilitate learning in the field of artificial intelligence (AI) while also combating the negative aspects of AI.
The team consisting of the two mediamaticians Jana Störi (Möriken AG, apprenticeship at Aargauische Kantonalbank) and Elina von Flüeh (Reinach AG, apprenticeship at Kromer Print AG) came out on top. They impressed with “Prendo,” a comprehensive solution for schools that offers added value to both students and teachers by using AI not to solve problems, but to provide explanations. Playful elements, structured overviews for teachers, and easy integration into existing school solutions were among the features that set the idea apart. The two successful finalists are in their third year at the Baden vocational school.
Second place went to the two application developers Kevin Willeit (Lüchingen SG, working at his own start-up Findmee) and Michael Epper (Lütisburg SG, Swiss National Bank / apprenticeship Kantonsschule Brühl SG). With their solution “BrainAI,” they support students as a kind of learning coach who gives tips and also takes emotional and social aspects into account with feedback and rewards. Kevin Willeit completed his training with Libs industrielle Berufslehrern, while Michael Epper attended the Kantonsschule am Brühl SG and now works for the Swiss National Bank. In addition to his training, he has also founded his own company, Smartcards.
Design engineer Logan Bart (Ferney-Voltaire/F, apprenticeship company: Speno International SA) and polymechanic Max Davet (Meyrin GE, apprenticeship company: Rolex) impressed with their idea for a pen that can be used in conjunction with AI to correct spelling and learn effectively, for example. Both talents completed their training at the CFP Technique technical vocational school in Lancy GE.
The 20 finalists from a wide range of professions worked on various modules, such as market surveys and a financial plan, over the three days and concluded the competition with a final pitch to an external jury of entrepreneurs. In addition to a great experience, all the talents took away newly acquired skills in entrepreneurial thinking and action. They networked with like-minded talents from all over Switzerland and can look forward to further support through a talent program and alumni events such as joint visits to Startup Nights in Winterthur or Startup Days in Bern.
Initiative Schweiz congratulates the winners and all participants, as well as the EntrepreneurSkills organization team, on this successful event and the exciting contributions!
